Well, this past weekend we went on a whirlwind trip to Wyoming to be a David Newby and Ann LaBenne's wedding!
We left late Thursday night around 9 pm, and got back home on Sunday morning at 4 am. Drove through the night on both days. We traveled with Eugen, Sarah, and Philemon, and Andrew, so had plenty of drivers. The guys did all the driving. Philemon was very good through most of the trip, although towards the end he really wanted out of his car seat!! :)
It was so funny - during the ride, he was getting bored, so I was playing peek-a-boo and stuff with him. Then, all of a sudden, Dave grabbed my waist from behind and scared me and I sucked my breath in and had this surprised look on my face. Philemon's eyes got big and his face became so serious and he was just looking at me like I was the strangest thing! Everyone started laughing because he had such a funny, serious looking face. Then he smiled big because everyone was laughing. :) Dave would scare me again and he would make that face all over again. It was so cute! :)On Friday we checked into the hotel in Idaho Falls, swam in the pool for an hour or so, then headed to Jackson Hole, 2 hours away. (we stayed so far away because the hotels in Jackson were $300 +) :o\
We had dinner at the Bar J Ranch and watched the 2 hour long show that the BarJ Wranglers put on. That was a blast! All the cowboy music and jokes and comedy. They were hilarious! :)We drove all the way back to Idaho Falls that evening and back again the next morning in time for the wedding.
The wedding was very nice - it was held at the BarJ Ranch - the girls wore
long blue dresses and the guys wore black with cowboy hats. David and Ann looked really happy for their wedding day to finally be upon them! :)
We left after the wedding to drive back home through the night and made it safely.
