Sunday School Picnic

This past weekend was the Sunday School Picnic at Sester's Pond. The weather was perfect for swimming and sliding down the waterslide, games, food, hayride, volleyball, candy.... :) A fun tiem was had by all - hope you enjoy the pictures, cuz there's a LOT of them! ;)
We all had lunch before the games started. Katelynn was getting into her mom's food, so Jonathan kept pulling it away, and she kept crawling toward it. She just learned to crawl this past week! Way to go, Katelynn! :)
Kids listening attentively to the instructions for a game
This is one of the only ones I got of the Pinata - I can think of one word when I look at Benji's face - "glee"!!! :)
The adults and young people played the game where you have to stomp on other balloon to pop it, while at the same time keeping yours from being stepped on. :)
Tim doesn't even realize the impending danger, as he tries instead to pop his wifes balloon! :)

Christina running away from her husband and bro-in-law. I'd be running, too!
And, by the way - she won the game!! ;)
Girls watching some of the games going on -
Holly, Gwynne, Heather, Magda, Karen, Bethany A., Susie, Bethany S.
Husbands and wifes, and friends (or enemies!) ;) teamed up and threw water balloons back and forth. Each had to take a step back after every throw until the balloon finally burst! :)
Ooops! :)
Jonathan looks just a tad bit nervous.... ;)
Will it burst....?? ;)
Now, that must be a shock!
Bethany with her neighbor friend, Emily
Cute piggies, Phi!
Dave giving his nephew some pushes on the swing
Mmmmm.....those snow cones were so yummy on a hot day! Rebekah and Katie
Megan giving Angel a drink
Phi and his Mommy on the slide
Hayride!
Megan and Emily enjoying their snowcones on the hayride
Bethany, Karen and Heather on the hayride

Young again! :)

Hayride and kids having fun in the pond

These girls were whispering secrets to eachother. :)

Dave and I

Matthew

Tim helping Phi find "treasure" under the bales of hay. There were big candies hidden for the kids. :)

The waterslide was improved some from last year by attatching bales of hay to the plastic to form a nice slide.
Uncle Ron was at the top telling the line of kids when they could go.
Matthew taking his Daddy down the waterslide. :)
Heidi running back up the hill for another go at it!
They set it up so the water comes out of a huge pipe. The first year we did the waterslide, we just had a simple garden hose if I remember right, and upgraded to the big pipe the next year! The kids have so much fun, and it's one of the highlights of the day! :)

Josh, our old neighbor
Eugen was at the bottom, helping kids get wet. :)
Splashine his neice, Andrea. :)
A couple guys had to be at the end to stop kids from sliding right into the pond!

Jane and Damaris watching the action on the waterslide and pond
Matthew with a couple of his neighborhood friends, Randy and Josh, soaking wet from the waterslide. :)
Katelynn stylin' in her new bathing suit! :)
Johanna watching kids fly by on the waterslide.

Katelynn going down with her Mommy :)

Hannah
Mischevious boys filling up water balloons - uh oh! :)
Laura

Damaris - check out her two bandaged knees. :)

Bethany and Angel, the little dog that Emily is dogsitting.
Matthew and Phi "driving" the big John Deere tractor used to pull the hay ride!
Good friends! :)

Great photos as always. :)

When I open your site, it has a black and white design just for a few seconds and then it totally disappears and the background is all black. Just wondering what that's all about!

Also, I was wondering how you get your photos to upload so large, I have been working on mine for a while and can't figure it out.

I voted that the whole screen is black. Also, the results from the voting go off the side of the screen. Your blog posts are right up against the side of my screen on the left, and your side bar goes off the side of my screen on the right. At least any parts of it that are long. It is the same when i use either firefox or IE (I had to check.)

Anyways, don't worry about fixing it just for me, but it looks like at least a couple of others have the same problem!
