Rockaway Beach

We just got back from spending a nice, relaxing night and day at Rockaway Beach, which is just south of Cannon Beach in Oregon. Mom, Bethany and Matthew have been here, visiting for the past few weeks, and are leaving on Sunday. We will sure miss them! I'll post some more pictures of their visit here later on.
We rented an apartment right on the beach with a kitchen, etc for cooking meals, which was very handy! :) Here is the path heading to the beach. :)
Dave and I arrived just before the sun was going down.

Trying to get some action/silhouette shots of Emily and Bethany....

a little kiss... ;)
Sunset - and I think that's a seagull out there...

We went crabbing in the morning for the first time ever (well, Dave has been before, being a native Oregonian...!)- it was freezing, but we enjoyed the experience, even though nobody caught anything worthy enough to keep. :(

Matt pulling up his crab ring
Matthew caught the one and only crab, but it was just about a 1/4inch too small to keep. :(
Seagulls....
